Writing a Comparison Paragraph

Goal: Write a paragraph comparing an animal cell to a check cell.

Plant Cell vs Animal Cell

Goal: Be able to write a paragraph comparing a plant cell to an animal cell. Be able to list five differences between plant and animal cells.    


Agenda:
1. Review using white boards.
2. Review Cell Comparison Lab worksheet.
3. Writing terms: thesis sentence, transition words, supporting evidence and conclusion.

Prokaryotic vs Eukaryotic Cells

Goal: Write a paragraph explaining the difference between prokaryotic and eukaryotic as well as being able to list parts that are found in all cells.  


Agenda: I will at a biology conference in San Diego. 
1. You will need 3 handouts.
2. Follow the instructions on the assignment handout.
3. Color both the animal cell and plant cell handouts.

Goal: Be able to prepare a wet mount slide. Be able to find the specimen under low objective, focus, and move up to high objective and focus. Practice social responsibility and keep your area and equipment clean.

Present Animal Behaviors - Iron Chef

Goal:  As a presenter, speak clearly and loudly and make eye contact with your audience. As a listener, track the talker and take notes on main points.

Agenda: 
1. Students present by groups and concept. Listeners take notes. 
2. If time permits we are starting our with with Microscopes.
